60 minutes for 40 questions. There is no extra time to transfer answers — you must write them on the answer sheet as you go.
Academic Reading uses three long, complex texts from journals and books. General Training Reading uses five or six shorter texts from notices, ads, workplace documents, and one longer passage. The number of questions (40) and the time limit (60 min) are the same.
Academic: around 30 out of 40. General Training: around 34 out of 40. The conversion tables are slightly different because General Training texts are easier.
